Is 150 ANSI Lumens Good for a Projector?

Yes, 150 ANSI lumens can be good for a projector if you plan to watch in a dark room and can keep the image relatively small. It is less suitable when you want a large picture, need the lights on, or expect to watch during the day without controlling sunlight.

ANSI lumens describe measured light output, but the brightness you see also depends on your room and screen size. For the best result at 150 ANSI lumens, close the shades, turn off nearby lamps, and start with a smaller image rather than placing the projector as far from the wall as possible.

Our guide to projector brightness can help you put lumen figures in context: 200 ANSI lumens is a step up from 150, but it is not a substitute for a dark viewing space. Our featured 200ANSI LED Projector with Screen Mirroring, Dual Wifi, and 1280x720P Resolution is one option if you are comparing those two brightness figures; choose based on your room conditions as well as the features you want.
